Palace of Fine Arts

Busby and Brian at the Palace of Fine ArtsThis weekend we did one of our first touristy things in San Francisco: We walked around the Marina District and checked out buildings that had been rebuilt since the 1989 earthquake. It was cold and windy, so we mostly meandered through the neighborhood instead of the bay, but we made our way to the Palace of Fine Arts. You’ve probably seen it in a variety of films and TV shows.

The only “fine arts” we saw were the the buildings that were built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific Exposition (a fair).

Great place to walk to for fresh foods and really good donuts.

Commute by MUNI

While living in London, I shared photos of the tube and bus. Now in San Francisco I ride the MUNI light rail. I catch the N train at the start of its route, which is why it’s empty in the photo.

Thanks,
Brian
