The boat streetcar
We don’t see this one out too often, but it is one of the streetcars that run up and down Market st and to Fisherman’s wharf.
Cooking School–June 2013
As a gift for our 13th anniversary, we took a vegetarian cooking class from the San Francisco Cooking School. I chopped way too many vegetables, but all the dishes the students created were great.
Maker Faire 2013
I took a couple hours on Sunday and checked out the Bay Area Maker Faire. This is where anyone interested in building their own gadgets can get together and learn from each other and buy stuff. I took a few photos, but there was just an overwhelming amount of stuff to see, which made me wonder “what should I build”?
Our New Neighborhood
Here’s a few photos of our new neighborhood that I’ve taken over the last week as we get moved into our new house. Plus one of a drink that a cool bartender invented for us, but the bar, Tony Nik’s, is across town. It consisted of vodka, ginger liquor, lemon juice and orange bitters. We called it the Vertigo.
Neighborhood: The Castro
Old train cars: Historic Streetcars
Park: Dolores Park
Old-school Flip Flaps working again
This must mean we are now fully moved into our new home. These Flip Flaps are from a trip to Japan in 2005 (or so). They’ve been in boxes and sort of hidden away for a few years, but San Francisco seems to be a good place for them to reappear.
