Great restaurant in Brussels

Belga Queen: http://www.belgaqueen.be – I highly suggest trying the drink that is half champaign and half fruity-beer. Better than it sounds! All of the food and drinks tasted good or looked good too.

London Tourist

I consider myself a resident tourist in London, meaning that I am a resident here, but also a tourist. But as we have friends and family come to visit, I find myself playing tour guide, which is a great excuse for me to get out and do things I haven’t done yet. Here is my suggested list for everyone visiting us in London, which I’m sure I will continue to update over time.

We saw this when Michael and Trish were in town, but I forgot to mention it. If you get the chance I highly suggest it, or at least if you like some good comedy. It was funny as hell and wasn’t the puppet show I expected. Aaron and Rachel are going to see it Wednesday night and since they just graduated from college, I wonder what they will think. smile_regular

Random London Photos

Windows Live Spaces has a cool feature where you can send photos to a photo album via e-mail. When I walk around London, usually with Milo, I always have my cell phone with me. It has a mediocre camera, but it does make it easy for me to send photos to my photo album called Random London Photos, which I keep on the right-hand side of my site. So if you are curious to see what I see when meandering around, just check out my Random London photo album.

Mr. Volcano

This is sorta funny. There are commercials running in the UK for Volvic’s bottled water. They now have a blog for the characters in the commercial. I like Tyrannosaurus Alan, but here is a photo of Volcano George.

Mt. Biking in the UK

This morning Cullen picked me up, we tossed our bikes in the back of his car, and I had my first mountain bike ride in the UK. We went to the Bracknell forest, which has a lot of logging roads, but it had good single tracks too. Some even had banked turns, which I had never experienced in Washington or Colorado mt. biking. We did have to pay £1.50 for permits, which was a new experience for me. I owe Cullen a pint for that one. smile_regular

Gin & Tonic in a Can?

I am still finding what I consider odd things in the grocery stores here in London. I recently found a Gin & Tonic in a can. Not a bad idea!

Eiffel Tower Video

My brother Mike, his wife Trish, and I went up the Eiffel Tower last week. I took a few short videos and photos and put them together with Windows Movie Maker (it comes with Vista).

Dog Friendly Paris

DSC02812This is on some random corner in Paris. We of course also saw all the regular tourist items as I played tour guide for Michael and Trish, and no, I do not speak French, but I can get by good enough to get around.
