Surfing in London
Ok, not really. But I am standing on a surfboard in front of the Tower Bridge. It was at a restaurant.
The London Facade
When walking past this building, you don’t really notice that there’s nothing behind it that’s related to the front. I assume the city said the front of the building had to stay, so there it stands. Usually, the front of a building will be incorporated into whatever new building is put up, but not this time.
The 16hour and 45minute Day in Amsterdam
June 21st, 2019.
– Seattle is at 47°36′35″N
– Amsterdam is at 52°22′N
Calculating this shows me a difference in latitude of 529 km (328.705 miles).
Today, on June 21st, the day is 45 minutes longer in Amsterdam versus Seattle:
– In Seattle, sunrise is at 5:07am and sunset is at 21:10 (9:10pm) = 16 hours and 3 minutes
– In Amsterdam, sunrise is at 5:18am and sunset is at 22:06 (10:06pm) = 16 hours and 48 minutes
So there are some fun facts to ponder. Mostly I notice how light it still is at 10pm!

Back in the Netherlands
It doesn’t get much more Dutch than a KLM-blue clog (clomp) in front of a bunch of cheese.

A Day In Porto, Portugal
We did a bit of walking and port tasting in Porto today. Even got a great view from a bridge and a gondola ride,
