Palace of Fine Arts
This weekend we did one of our first touristy things in San Francisco: We walked around the Marina District and checked out buildings that had been rebuilt since the 1989 earthquake. It was cold and windy, so we mostly meandered through the neighborhood instead of the bay, but we made our way to the Palace of Fine Arts. You’ve probably seen it in a variety of films and TV shows.
The only “fine arts” we saw were the the buildings that were built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific Exposition (a fair).
