Busby at the beach–Jan 2014
We hit the beach for a day of hiking up and down the coast at around 9am, when it was still partially covered by the shadow of the cliffs of Fort Funston. Thankfully I was wearing shorts and could put my sweatshirt in my backpack as it warmed up, because the beaches at the southern end of San Francisco are warm on January 25th. At least this year they are. The waves were good today, so there were a few surfers to watch when we stopped for lunch around 11:30. Busby happily squeezed between two rocks to stay cool and get a bit of rest. We made it back to the car a bit after 1pm, and the boy was certainly tired after about 4 hours of running around the beach.
There’s also a short (8 second) video of Busby bouncing around the beach at:
Skiing the Continental Divide
Jeff and I had a fantastic day of skiing at Loveland in Colorado today. At 13000 feet, it feels considerably higher than Alta did a few weeks ago at 9700 feet.

When flights are delayed
The sea of bags gathering at Denver International Airport. Not sure why the bags are stacking up without passengers claiming them though.
My new commute
I just finished my first week of work at my new job at Xactly (www.Xactlycorp.com) as their Sales Enablement Lead.
They’re based in San Jose, and since we live in San Francisco, I commute via Caltrain. All of the cars are double-deckers, but some of them have single rows of seats upstairs so luggage can be stored on the center shelf.
It’s quite a bit different than the Tube in London, which is fine since the fast train I’m on, called a Baby Bullet, takes an hour. The regular/slow train takes 90 minutes.
