Fog. It brings in the cold air and rolls in from the beach and up, over and around the hills.

MUNI. When in the city, especially while on Market street, you can pop underground and catch a train. Your options are BART or MUNI. Usually, BART is for getting outside of the city and MUNI is for getting around within the city.

Parks. Any good city needs parks for people to meet friends, play and relax on the grass. This is Delores Park, which is partially under construction at the moment, but later today (a Sunday) it will be packed with people hanging out.

Blimps. Yes, oddly enough, we see blimps here. Usually only during baseball games, but this one was a promotion for Hendrick’s gin.

Street musicians. Especially along Market street, you’ll hear someone playing something, sometimes singing, sometimes a small band. Often they’re just loud and not very good. Other times you’ll hear someone with some talent. This guy seemed pretty good – I wasn’t close enough to see him very well, but you can hear him over the traffic.

Sidewalk art. Or maybe graffiti. These sort of things are scattered all around the city and often I have no idea what they’re a drawing of or if they’re supposed to mean something, which sounds like art to me.

Bus stops. Always useful to see what time it is, how long of a wait until the next bus, or to check the city map that’s usually posted.

Transit card readers. If you take public transit (Bart, muni, bus, CalTrain), you’ll most likely use one of these.

Pigeons. Busby loves to make them fly away when he sees them on the sidewalk, but ignores them if they’re off the curb into the street.

Homeless. Yes, there are quite a few homeless people in San Francisco, but the city doesn’t seem to do much about it.
