The Mediterranean Sea




We spent the day in a nice beach town called Sitges, which is south of Barcelona. So, i naturally stuck my feet in the Mediterranean.
Skinny Canal Ally

This is maybe 8 feet wide. You can tell there isn’t much traffic on it by the mossy brick street.
Houseboat and Drawbridge on the Amstel
This is the first time I’ve seen a drawbridge in action in Amsterdam and a houseboat on the move. It didn’t look very seaworthy, but was doing just fine on the calm Amstel river. The 3 people inside seemed friendly as we waved to each other from the bridge while they waited for it to go up.

Amsterdam Sights

This hotel makes good use of being on the corner of the Amstel river and a canal.
A Rainy View

Evan though I had a good umbrella, my feet and legs from the thigh down were drenched. This was my evening walk to the tram and it only took about 5 minutes of rain like this to get squishy feet.
Fixing Up Amsterdam

This is a newly refurbished road in front of a newly refurbished set of buildings.
Autumn (herfst) has arrived in Amsterdam

The leaves are starting to fall.
Sunny Saturday in Amsterdam
A sunny day in Amsterdam leads to dog walks and grocery shopping via bicycle. My bike’s pannier is from Albert Heijn, the big grocery chain in the area, and it has a print of a stroopwafel on the side.
