Oops, the pit at a Britney concert
While in Las Vegas, just roll with it. Bought cheap tickets to Britney Spears with coworkers and ended up in the pit.

Kayak Camping 2015
This year, instead of going out to Neah Bay for surf kayaking, Paul and I took a ferry from Anacortes, WA up to Orcas Island where we made our way to Deer Harbor. From there, we loaded our kayaks with camping gear and paddled out to Jones Island and set up camp for 3 nights. Each day we hiked around the island a bit and kayaked around it and nearby islands. We saw seals, white jelly fish, purple starfish, a variety of birds, and one whale. The whale experience happened when we were at our camp, and we heard it before we saw it off in the distance. We could hear it blowing air/water from it’s blowhole and occasionally make the whale noise (sort of a screaming sound/song). That was a first for me. As you can see from the photos, the weather was fantastic; probably in the mid to upper 70s most of the time, which was surprising for NW Washington state in the 2nd week of September.
