The Cars of San Francisco
For the most part, San Francisco is filled with boring sedans and SUVs of all makes and models, but there are a good number of other vehicles too. Here’s a few I’ve seen in the last couple of weeks while walking the dog:
Busby Sings in Golden Gate Park
It feels like spring in the park today.

Rooftop Garden
After hauling bags of rock, dirt, topsoil, and bark up 4 flights of stairs (about 30 hikes up in total), we now have a rooftop garden. Although as you can see from Busby’s demonstration, it’s really a set of grasses for him to pee on. If we plant vegetables, it will be somewhere else. Up next is to paint the wood around the garden and lay down some Astroturf to give it a nicer feel and so dogs can more easily bounce around.
Busby uses a footrest
While sleeping on the couch this evening, Busby made use of the footrest. Thankfully he didn’t kick off the laundry.
New Ski & Rain Jacket
After about 18 years, I am finally replacing my red and black North Face ski jacket for a bright blue one from Marmot. I think I’ll still be visible on the slopes, and when walking Busby.
Now it’s time for a good adventure to really test it out!
Skiing at Alta on Dec 24 2015
This was the best day of skiing I’ve had in about a decade. There was about 4 inches of fresh snow, we had clear skies almost the entire day, but it was cold. The summit started at 3 degrees Fahrenheit and warmed up to 8 degrees. But the best was when a chair opened up around 1:30 or 2pm that hadn’t been opened for a couple of days. That gave us fresh tracks on what would normally be groomed runs: up to 2 feet of fresh snow in some spots. The photos and videos show Haakon, Mike and me having a great day!
