Schneeballen

The schneeballen looked great, so I got the Bailey’s one at one of the many Christmas markets in Berlin. The cookie is flavorless and it’s just a thin layer of chocolate swirled between cookie layers. I think I might have to try a different flavor to give them a fair rest.

Venice after 50

Verona at 50
About 18 months ago, Lorie and I started thinking about how to throw ourselves a big 50th birthday party. We wanted a destination that friends would travel to where we could do activities and just hang out. Verona Italy was our final choice and we ended up with 17. We enjoyed dinners together, a walking tour of Romeo and Juliet locations in the city, a wine tasting of local wines, some shopping, and just hanging out in a shared living space in the hotel since we took over an entire floor.
