Amsterdam’s Foodhallen
The city trams used to park in this building, but now it’s a food court, movie theater, and a variety of shops. It’s also one of our go-to spots in the city. More info is at https://foodhallen.nl/amsterdam/about

Even more of Lisbon

More views of Lisbon

Sights of Lisbon
A few of us expats living in Amsterdam needed some sunshine, and only half of us had been to Lisbon. These photos are from the day we got in:

Construction Challenges in Amsterdam
Not far from our place is a project that seems to have a few problems. They certainly need a pump, but notice all the different steel beams. The neighboring homes are all severely cracked now too.

2nd Dogfood Run

This is my 2nd attempt to transport two 10kg bags of dogfood since we sold our car. While the bike is less wobbly without weight on the front, I did notice the bags slipping off to one side a little.
So, I’m still working on the right setup and I’ll get another chance in 3 or 4 weeks once the dogs eat these bags.
When a friend turns 50
She throws herself a party, of course! This is how our friend, Pita, celebrated her 50th; she rented out part of this building in the heart of Amsterdam’s most popular, Vondelpark. It was filled with her friends, representing about 13 different nationalities.

Transport in Amsterdam
I used to strap a kayak to the roof of my car, and now I use those same straps to attach 10kg bags of dogfood to my bicycle.
The bike does feel a little wobbly with that much weight over the front tire, but otherwise rides nice.

Another day in Amsterdam
Of course, since it is a UNESCO World Heritage site, even a cloudy day is beautiful.

Amsterdam Light Festival
Tonight we rented a very nice covered and heated boat from 1910, now electric, and saw the Light Festival on the canals of Amsterdam. More info about that is at:

A few photos from my phone, which never look great at night:
