Skateboarding. There are quite a few skateboarders in the city. Some hang out and skateboard with their friends like these guys, but some just use it to get around the city, which explains why some of them have electric motors.

Flower cars. I certainly see more of them here than I did in Seattle and London.

Drains to the bay. These are scattered around the city, with different sea life depicted on them too.

Wall art. It’s all over the place, sometimes it’s graffiti, but usually not.

Dog friendly or fun signs. Most parks either have an off leash area or are ok with a bit of off leash dog play. There are also a few fun signs in the city too.

The Castro neighborhood. It’s the one Lorie and I like to hang out in more than others, but in general, most everyone who lives in the city talks about their neighborhood as the best and pokes fun at the other neighborhoods.

Post 1906 earthquake/fire photos. They’re all over the place so you know what the city looked like in 1906.

Street names in the street corner sidewalk. Sometimes a letter is backwards though.

Parking permits. You need one to park on the street near your house and it has to be on the left rear bumper of your car. Each neighborhood has a different letter.
